Welcome to our Cairn Terrier Past Puppies!
Known as the "Toto" dog from the Wizard of Oz
Cairn Terriers are a perfect match for families and
people that want a dog that is energetic, happy, intelligent and a very loyal
pet and protector. They are outgoing in their personalities and often don't seem
to realize that they are a small dog. Cairn Terriers are good family dogs as
they absolutely love children. In a family with children the Cairn Terrier will
always be involved in the children's games and play and loves to run and romp.
Chasing balls and playing fetch is a favorite pastime of many Cairn Terriers.
Cairn Terriers quickly learn new skills and tricks and love to work for praise
and attention. Cairn Terriers do need affection and attention and love to find a
comfortable spot on the couch or, even better yet, on a lap and spend time with
the family. They make an excellent housedogs. They do love to be outside and run
and play.

Kane has been a
wonderful addition to our family. He loves to play with our cats and is so
friendly with kids! He loves to cuddle at night and is really a social
dog. I think the way you socialize the dogs before they go to their new
homes really helps! He is doing great at housetraining and is growing so
fast. Thank you for all of your wonderful knowledge to help us choose a
puppy that would be just right for our family!
Thank
you!
Rachel
Update:
He is such a funny dog. His favorite thing to do is sit on the chair and
look out the window with our cat. They keep each other company when they
are not wrestling. He is growing up and learning his manners too - totally
housetrained!

We
have to say that the entire family absolutely loves him!! He has a ton of
personality and each day that passes you have to love him a little more.
He is a companion dog - he loves to be where the action is and he totally
adores children. We live in a neighborhood where he can have up to 10
kids that are fighting for his attention and I am continuously impressed
with his patience. He has truly been a pleasure to have in the home and
he's almost potty trained.
Thanks!
Kristy & Lydia
p.s. I have to say there was a
little girl getting off our school bus and her comment to me when she saw
Wrigley was "I usually don't like little dogs, but he's adorable"! It's a
pretty consistent statement I hear - he's such a little lover you have
have to adore him!

Caesar is doing great...we
just love him so much and the kids are over the moon with excitement about
him! The night we brought him home we put him in a little box and told the
kids we had an early Christmas gift for them and when we opened the lid and
his little head popped out they thought it was a stuffed animal! Then when
he moved they could hardly believe their eyes! He's absolutely the sweetest
thing...he has the best temperament. We can tell he is just going to be a
joy to have. He is really smart too, potty training is coming along
well...he has his spot in the yard and he has had only a couple accidents.
Thanks so much!
Love,

I just wanted to check in
with you and let you know how much we LOVE Odie!! Things are going really
well. He's so much fun - such a great personality! Yesterday morning he ran
4 miles with me and last night we took him to the dog park nearby where he
loves to play with other dogs - big and small! He should have
slept good last night :)
Thank You!

Joey is still wonderful,
and adorable! He got to spend the weekend at "Aunt Jill's" because we were
busy with races all weekend and he had a wonderful time! Potty training is
going pretty good, he just still hates that wet grass! And he loves
snuggling (when it's on his terms!) running up stairs (can't make it down
yet) and is fascinated with the kitties and has discovered his bark (I am
sure the passing jogger will never forget him! hehe). The other two dogs are
still doing great with him, I think Rody really wishes he would get big
enough to play with him! We just love him!
Thank You!

Update: Joey is lots of fun, his personality
is hilarious and we have lots of fun with him. He likes playing with Rody
and loves running with the big dogs at the dog park. He's doing great, and
can now sit and 'sit pretty' on command, we are working on speak and leash
training.
Joey had a wonderful
time celebrating his birthday! He had a special supper with his brothers and
his Shih Tzu cuz, got new treats and cookies and some new toys (that he
really doesn't want to share with his brothers). He is such a fun little boy
and constantly amuses us....from his head cocks when we are talking to him,
his "wake up" stretch and snuggles in the morning, his greeting stretches up
the leg until we pick him up, the 'kitty dance' He is such a smart little
guy, we just couldn't imagine our life without him
Happy birthday to his
siblings too!

Update:
We just love our little guy and he is so
fun to have around. Some days he is a terrorist, others he is the most
snuggly little guy. We adore some of his habits (neck nuzzles, stretches,
chasing kitties away from the food bowl) and he sure makes him laugh! He has
so much fun at the dog park with all the big dogs, he is known as the
greeter, the running pacer, the mediator, and the enforcer. He loves the
snow, sometimes so much he forgets what he is outside to do. He is such a
sweetie, we are so thankful he is with us!

We very much enjoy having Molly as part of our family! She loves playing
with the girls. She also loves rolling around in the grass outside. She is
doing pretty well with house training and enjoys going for walks and
learning to walk on a leash. We took her camping last week with my extended
family and she was loved by everyone the entire time. She fits right in with
our family and we are glad to have her.
Thanks again,

Torin is doing great! While
I played tennis, my husband 'puppy' sat!! He really likes Torin too, as does
my son. Torin was running around a lot tonight, following Toby who loves to
chase the lawn mower when my husband mows outside the fence. Torin now weighs 7# 10 oz!! He's growing like
a weed.
Thank You!

Bear is doing very well. He can run, chase and loves to trail walk on
the Superior Hiking Trail, just say "woods" and he is ready to go. We like
him so much I adopted another Cairn from the animal shelter in November.
Molly is a five month old Cairn that was surrendered there. The two get
along great together. At Christmas we were all at my sisters in Wyoming, MN.
she adopted Marley from you; it was a little wild at
first, but then they settled down and had a blast.
I am very happy with Bear and he is a great addition to our family. My boys
and husband love him.
Thanks!

Just
wanted to give you a quick update on Fred. He joined our family a little
over a year ago, it was such a smooth transition! He is an easy going guy
who loves to play with his ball, go for walks and car rides. I think his
most favorite thing to do is curl up on the couch by the fire. He continues
to get rave reviews from the vet and groomer; he is very healthy and likes
to freshen up his look with a bath and trim. He loves to meet new people who
almost instantly fall in love with him. His fun personality and willingness
to play let’s you know he wants to be your friend!
Thank
You!

I am so happy that I came across
your page almost a year ago now. Remmi is such a good girl! Potty
training took a bit of work but once she realized I was the boss she
grasped the concept almost immediately. She loves lounging on our bay
window and looking out at the street, barking at anything that passes by.
I have received numerous compliments on her that she is the exact replica
of Toto from the Wizard of Oz. She now weighs about 10 pounds and couldn't
fit into the family better. In her free time she absolutely loves chewing
on her nylabones and playing with the cats... Yes, playing with the cats.
They wrestle and all; it's so cute!
Thank
you!

Lilly
Wheaton Cairn Terrier
Living in Albert Lea, Minnesota
|
Lilly is great. She had a
rocky beginning, our home was hit by the tornado in June and she was the
only one home. No physical trauma, emotional/mental maybe! She is still
pretty skittish. She is a cuddler, when someone sits down she just looks at
them waiting for them to recline the chair so she can snuggle on their legs.
We give her free run of the house when we are away and she does great with
peeing outside. She loves the snow, too. We adopted a chocolate lab puppy in
August and they are the best of friends, Lilly is the boss of course. She
loves it when my brothers black lab visits, too. Every visitor gets greeted
with lots of puppy kisses and even some barks if they don't give her
attention right away, it is quite adorable. We are very happy with her and
love her little quirks.
Thank You!

full of energy and as you can see she loves her toys. She has been a great
addition to the family.

Kodie
Wheaton Cairn Terrier
Living in Shoreview, Minnesota
 |
Kodie is doing
GREAT! He loves to play and I think he would retrieve whichever toy we
throw forever. He currently has two stuffed animals that are his
favorites. Kodie is very good
while we are gone all day so I suppose he feels it’s catch up time once we
get home. He will drop his toy at my feet, back up and lay down and just
wait. If I move to a different spot he’ll pick up his toy, follow me and
repeat the routine. At least he doesn’t jump all over us to get our
attention. He knows the
word w-a-l-k so we had to come up with an alternative word to use when
talking. We now refer to an ‘adventure’ so he won’t get too excited while
waiting. He has been a very good choice for us!
Thank You!

Lily has been part of our family for about a year and a half. She has a
wonderful personality. She is very energetic. She loves to play fetch,
run in the yard and be with the kids. She follows us around the house
and loves to have her tummy rubbed. We moved from Minnesota to Oklahoma in
August and Lily loves it here. She has a fenced yard and actually will
play soccer by herself! She pushes the ball with her nose and runs after
it. It is fun to watch. She is a great addition to our family.
Thanks,

It was truly a blessing
meeting you both over the last few days. Mac is so gentle and sweet. He is
just an angel and I am very happy with him. He is already my best friend!
Mac is doing very well! It was actually harder on me going to work today
than it was for him I think. :-) He loves me very much! I gotta be honest
with you, I really love him. He is really cool about standing on his back
two legs. It's really neat.
We have taught him how to play fetch today
and he is awesome at it! Brings it right back to us right away. So cute!
Also I told several people at work where I
got Mac and gave them your contact info on the website! I told them it was
the most relaxed and friendly experience I have had buying something.
He is just a sweet heart. I am VERY lucky I
have him.
I think my favorite thing is sleeping
with him. He is so cuddly.
Thanks again for the experience, we are
really happy and hope Mac is happy too.

Ryder is doing good.
He does not like to go outside so I'm paper training, we have good days
and bad. I never had a dog that wants to be held all the time. My other
dog Bobbie Sue is starting to play with him which is very funny. He is
very curious puppy. I'm very happy with him, he does make me laugh.
